This year's Data Management Practice Day was held at the GS1 Knowledge Center on June 15, 2023. The event promised a day full of insights into the world of data management and the opportunity to learn proven strategies from experts* from various industries.
Keynote speaker Michael Brockmann from FERRERO MSC GmbH & Co. KG opened the event with an inspiring presentation on the importance of data quality in the POS materials process. He illustrated how insufficient data quality can lead to inefficient processes and errors and highlighted best practices to overcome these challenges.
Another highlight was the presentation "Let's go digital" by Sylvia Heidorn from Mondelez Deutschland Services GmbH & Co. KG, who spoke about the need to immerse oneself in the digital world. She emphasized that effective data management is the key to success in today's digital era.
"From Worst Practice to Best Practice" was another very exciting presentation given by Christian Brandl from MediaMarktSaturn Technology GmbH. Christian Brandl presented the path from worst practice to best practice and provided valuable insights into the challenges companies face when implementing effective data management. His presentation made it clear that success in data management requires continuous improvement and that mistakes serve to permanently evolve.
The 2023 Data Management Practice Day once again provided us with valuable insights and practical knowledge. We not only benefited from the field-tested strategies and lived data governance structures of the top experts*, but also made valuable contacts and expanded our network.
